Its been a busy month! The teen of the house went off to Arizona for 3 weeks, which included volleyball camp at Arizona State!
The hubs and I got reaquainted and made a plan to survive the next 4 years of high shool with our daughter! Geesh! In 4 weeks she will officially be a high schooler, although, high school volleyball practice starts in 2 weeks!
In the creative department, I have been busy! After buying many FMQ books, I signed up for Leah Day's FMQ a Sampler class on Craftsy. Can I just say WOW!!
I LOVE HER!!!
So soothing, and validating. My favorite Leah Day sayings are:
1. "If you rip everything out, then all you get good at is ripping things out."
2. "... and that's ok, too."
If you follow me on Instagram, "thequiltingcats", or on Facebook, then you have already seen all of these.
These are pre-printed block panels made by Spoonflower specifically for this class. I never completed Craftsy's Sampler Class with Amy Gibson, which is where the block designs come from, and I was tired of wasting good solid fat quarter fabric to practice on.
I used my 1948 Singer 15-90 to create all of these.
Be prepared to be dazzled.... because I am impressed with myself!
So far block 4 and 6 are my favorite, but I still have 14 blocks to go!
I have done a couple other things... but I'll save them for a later post!
Have a wonderfully creative week!
